Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good service

Four of us dined at La Plazuela and all four of us had an excellent meal. While I have mostly enjoyed my dining experience in the past this visit was the best! Good service too.

We ate in the bar which is not this restaurant, but next to it with a different menu. They recently remodeled the bar and it made it a lot nicer looking, but I miss the old look and feel. I was there on a Monday night, they had a swing band going on and it looked like the locals where having fun.

A gem of a find. What a great atmosphere to enjoy breakfast lunch for dinner after walking around downtown Santa Fe looking at wonderful artwork and some of the oldest churches in America.The food is tasty and a service is perfect never wanting for anything has the staff is always asking if there's anything else they can do for you.

Beautiful setting in the center of Santa Fe, offers shopping, dining and accommodation in a fabulous building. The restaurant has a good choice of dishes, with vegetarian and gluten free options, homemade ice tea, good wines and great meats. The staff is friendly and courteous. Honest prices for a place that is both casual and elegant at the same time. Wonderful experience in a historical building. Definitely recommended.

Some of the best food and service in Santa Fe. Fresh, authentic and delicious Mexican dishes w the special Santa fe magic. Also probably the most well known dining room on the square.

Popped into town for a quick snowboarding trip and stayed downtown. Walked in and sat down, no wait. Great service, beautiful atmosphere, great service and beautiful décor!

The beautiful setting makes this place; the great food is a bonus.

Our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. The staff here is exceptional and the table side guacamole shouldn't be missed.

It is a lovely, beautifully conceived round place with a lovely balcony, lightened trees and a fountain in the middle.... Very comfortable, spacious chairs in beautifully carved, colored wood, artfully placed tables and little sofas complete the decor. The food is amazing, some of the best I've ever tasted and the service impeccable. It isn't cheap, but definitely worth your money

It was our first night in town, we were a bit done in from a long day of travelling and decided to "settle" for the hotel restaurant. Because let's face it, many (most?) hotel restaurants know they have you held hostage to a point, so they are basically good at best.Not so with the Plazuela. From the prompt and friendly service, to the absolutely delicious food, we were ever so happy to have "settled".Full marks.

Reservations recommended as this place is busy. A little pricier than other options, but the food really is amazing. Can be relatively inexpensive, or expensive fine dining depending on what you order. There’s a good selection of food, wine, and spirits. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is perfect.

Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of the city. The restaurant is right in the center and has a gorgeous seating area with high ceilings lots of natural light and beautiful vintage art and features. The breakfast was delicious, highly recommend this restaurant!

We visit lots of restaurants and La Plazuela has always been a favorite for the Christmas decor. Just ate there again on Tuesday. The restaurant seems nice enough with beautiful real poinsettias around the fountain, but then you start to notice how the restaurant is crowded, loud, and expensive for small portions. So go there and wander around the hotel, have a drink in the bar, enjoy the band if there is one, check out the bar menu, or check out the pastry shop, before you decide you absolutely have to eat in the restaurant. Ambiance - 4 stars, service - 4 stars, food - 3.5 stars, parking - 2 stars. IMHO

Great food anytime of day. Our tradition is to eat breakfast here on the last morning before we leave. Everything on the menu is delicious. The atmosphere is amazing because of the high ceilings and the historic surroundings of the hotel.

Great space, good food. Pleasant staff, but not a good place if you're in a hurry. Excellent if you don't want to be hurried.

Beautiful, airy, quaint and friendly. I ate here in June for my Birthday. I am in love with New Mexican food. The chilies, the cheese and spices are perfectly blended to give your mouth a party in every bite. The waitstaff is impeccable. A very nice place in old town Santa Fe.

What a gorgeous indoor courtyard! La Plazuela is the perfect place to enjoy delicious food in Santa Fe. Friendly staff, generous portions, reasonable prices - it’s going to become a tradition every time we’re in town. Definitely try the pozole and breakfast trout.

The guacamole was made at our table and it was fantastic.

I'm originally from Michigan so anytime my family visits the first request is "can we go to La Fonda for breakfast?" an of course the answer is always YES!!!! Such great atmosphere, awesome food and great staff! I have enjoy many a breakfast and plan to enjoy many more.

Great Mexican style food. Portions are big but even still, slightly over priced. Friendly staff and quick service.

Beautiful restaurant, with amazing food. We were so happy to get a table right next to the fountain! Every dish is flavorful and extremely high quality. I highly recommend getting reservations however. Walk-ins are hit and miss regarding table availability.

Cool interior but maybe not as cool as some of the pictures look. The food was good but not amazing. Service was spot on and overall was a good place. It felt very touristy but that should be expected for location and all. I have not had the best of luck with really good food in the center square area but will keep trying.

The service was excellent and the ambiance was right out of the Fred Harvey era. The food not only tasted good it also looked good. Nice place for lunch when you visit Santa Fe

We were treated to dinner here by some local family members, and it did not disappoint. All the staff were friendly and fun, and the food was superb. I loved the atrium atmosphere, too. Definitely a must visit in Santa Fe!

Beautiful decor, great cappuccino. But. Hair in my omelet and I still got charged for a what ended up being an average breakfast. Not coming back.

Amazing food and great setting. It's a really beautiful place. A little expensive, but worth it for a great meal.

Very good food here. Came here for a lunch and had the carne asada which was delicious and also had the pork tenderloin which was also very good. The carne asada came with a cheese enchilada which was also delicious. The red chili is very good. Definitely recommend. Only issue is parking is very limited.

Simply amazing. You must visit here!! I had lunch here with some friends and we had a lovely experience. Atmosphere, food, AND the prices were all great... it's almost unreal. The manager was sweet, floating around checking on guests and made sure we were taken care of. This was one of the highlights of my visit to Santa Fe. I'll definitely be back!

Fun boutique hotel. Very Clean. Interesting to wander through. Overall great experience.

The wait was long but worth it. Angel provided us with excellent service. I had the duck and my daughter had the sirloin and they were both perfect. The sauce, the spinach, the fingerling potatoes, there was absolutely nothing about this meal to complain about. The smallest details, down to the bread and butter, were all thoughtful and wonderful. If I could live at La Plazuela, I'd be happy forever.

We loved La Fonda. We had breakfast at La Plazuela, there was a combination of local New Mexican food as well as more standard fare. It was very good and the whole atmosphere is marvelous. Service was not too fast but good.

Third visit and they all have been three star experiences. I want to like this place, the idea is there but the execution is not. Positives; Clean, well decorated, friendly service, well manicured staff. Negatives; slow greet time to the table, no selling or suggestions, but the number one issue this is the food is always, and I mean always, lukewarm. Every time one dish has been under or overcooked. This has been the same case with every visit; February 2019, November 2019 and January 2020, all dinner service. This place can be great with someone driving the bus.

Delicious food. Good breakfast and good dinner place. Great ambiance and excellent service. Their guacamole is delicious. If you go for breakfast I recommend you set a reservation for dinner since this place gets fully booked by their dinner opening time.

The Trucha con Huevos was brilliant. I highly recommended it. The restaurant atmosphere is nice too, with a fountain in the middle and a sky light roof above.

Fantastic restaurant! Ordered the Lamb torta and could not have been happier. The lamb was flavorful and tender. The accompanying grilled onions, avocado, and tomato were so delicious. Additionally, I really enjoyed the chips and salsa. The salsa had a great sweet taste but also maintained a nice spice. Highly recommend this place!

Food was very good. It took awhile to get served. Wait staff is terrific!

The history here and the amazing food and margaritas make this a must. The chili rellenos are the best in town! They even have bamboo straws!

This place had good food, with friendly service. It is inside La Fonda hotel on the main floor. There is a separate rooftop bar, but it closes an hour after sundown so we didn't get to go. The cocktails were decent, but nothing special. There is a surprisingly lengthy wine list. The lamb shank and the tamal were both quite tasty.

The best customer service. The concierge was fantastic and entertaining. Our room was clean and the dinner excellent as well as the breakfast.
